DEFINITION
The disorders of identity of genre are disorders in which the individual identifies, in an intense and persistent way, with another sex together with persistent discomfort for the proper (assigned) anatomical sex or a feeling of inadequacy in the role of his sex. The precedents and a psychiatric examination confirm the persistent desire to belong to the opposite sex.
This disorder describes a conflict between the physical genre or I show of a person and my own autoidentity. For example, a person identified like man can feel really and act as if she was a woman. This is different from the homosexuality, since the homosexuals almost always identify with his sex or clear genre. The feeling of being in a body of "wrong" genre must persist at least 2 years to do the diagnosis.

They suffer depression or anxiety
Adults:
Desire to live like a person of the opposite sex
They want to get rid of their own genitals
They dress in a way that it is typical of the opposite sex
They suffer depression or anxiety
They feel isolated
Adults or children:
They avoid the social interaction
They change the way of dressing and show habits typical of the opposite sex
CAUSES
The biological factors, like the genetic endowment and and prenatal hormonal way, they determine to a great extent the genre identity, but so much this one like the role of genre are constituted of stable form by social factors influence, like the quality of the emotional tie with the parents and the relation that each of these establishes with his son.
TREATMENT
Individual or familiar therapy is recommended for the children and individual or of couple for the adults, especially in case of experiencing anxiety and depression. The change of sex by means of the surgery and the hormonal therapy is an option, but often the problems of identity persist after this form of treatment. The early diagnosis and treatment of this problem contribute to a better final score.
