DEFINITION
The Reye syndrome is a cerebral inflammation (encefalopatía) and hepatic that collaborates to fever pictures for viral infections or chicken pox in children whom one has treated with Aspirin ® or salicilatos. DIAGNOSIS
If the symptoms picture appears in a child with the precedents of viral infection and the capture of Aspirin ® must to itself realize a study of:
- Sugar in blood, which is usually low
- Hepatic Transaminasas, which are usually high

- Lumbar puncture for the study of l spinal liquid

TREATMENT
