DEFINITION
The thirst is a normal reflex of the human body to restore the necessary liquids, but if a person is thirsty of constant form and especially of compulsive form and without satiety it is possible to be said that it has a problem of excess of thirst or polidipsia.
CAUSES OF EXCESSIVE THIRST
- The losses of water and salt for the perspiration, heat, the diarrheas or the vomiting,
- Feeding with excess of salt or spices,
- Mellitus diabetes or excess of sugar in the blood,
- The insipid Diabetes,
- The capture of medicines as the anticolinérgicos (tranquilizers, antihistamines, etc.), diuretics,

- Renal problems,
- And the polidipsia psicogéna.
