The x-rays are a form of electromagnetic radiation (like a light), they have a big energy and for it they can penetrate across the human body and produce an image in a photo badge. The achievement of a simple radiography does not cause any pain. The exhibition to the Rx is low, the current devices use very low radiation to produce images.
