The keloid is injuries of the skin formed by exaggerated growths of the textile cicatricial in the place of a cutaneous injury that can be produced by surgical incisions, traumatic wounds, places of vaccination, burns, chicken pox, acne or even small injuries or scrapings. Most of the keloid collapse and become less visible with the years. The extensive keloid can limit the mobility of the hands feet or extremities, in addition to causing problems of esthetics.

If a keloid is exhibited to the sun it is possible to dye of dark of permanent form.
The keloid can sting and bother to the beginning of his formation.

The keloid is not necessary treatment. If it exists a problem of esthetics or of limitation of the mobility of extremities one can try with the cold application (crioterapia), with external pressure, with injections of corticoesteroides intralesionales, treatments with laser, radiaciónes, or surgical eradication. Once agreements usually do not reappear, but sometimes a bigger injury can appear to the previous one, it is quite unforeseeable.

The bleaching or excess of coloration of the keloid for the sun, can get ready covering the keloid in formation with adhesive strips or with entire solar filters (solar screen) at least for 6 months after an injury or surgery in the adults and up to 18 months in the children.
