DEFINITION
The foot dug it is that, on having put it in the soil, it is possible to appreciate an excessive elevation of the longitudinal arch of the foot, looking at it sideways from the toe up to the heel.
It is much less frequent than the flat foot and it is usually associated with orthopaedics illnesses or neuromusculares that provoke changes in the muscular tone. Since it is more abnormal than the flat foot, often it produces pain for the tension that is exercised at level of half of the foot (bones metatarsals).
The length of the foot is usually diminished and usually gives difficulties in finding shoes, walking on long time or running.
I DIAGNOSE
His doctor can appreciate visually one I chirped I dig but then it will have to do a series of explorations to know the causes of the process. He can ask him for the diagnosis:
- Radiography of both feet,
- Spine radiography,
- Electromiogramas.
TREATMENT
The most suitable thing at first there are a few arch supports with arch to support the foot and to diminish the pain.
After the general study other treatments can appear depending on the opposing underlying causes.
