PNEUMONIA NEONATAL
In the newborn baby, they can happen:
Pneumonias of precocious beginning, in the bosom of a septicemia neonatal (or infection generalized on having been born for infected amniotic liquid), caused in most cases by streptococci group B (S. agalactiae).
Pneumonias of late beginning, acquired in UVIs neonatales, caused in most cases by staphylococcuses and other agents opportunists (microbes multirresistentes lodged in hospitals, which can only infect persons with the low defenses).
- Viral, well spontaneous or epidemic pneumonias.
