It is an element that allows to rehabilitate a dental crown placing it on an implant osteointegrado, therefore the later laying of a crown becomes necessary. The strained stumps present a part named bolt for the implant and other one stump for the crown.

A history, exploration and a correct diagnosis, the use of a suitable skill and a few measurements of asepsis are essential norms for the achievement of a strained stump. First of all it is necessary to evaluate the occlusion. The strained stumps can be realized of two ways: with the "Direct Skill", with which a stump is made in mouth in wax or acrylic that later is sent to the laboratory for his gatecrasher; or with a "Indirect Skill" in which an impression of the preparation takes and in the laboratory the gatecrasher is made. In both cases later it is proved, fits and is cemented by the specific cement.
COMPLICATIONS
In rare occasions it is possible to produce the descementación of the stump or the break of the stump.
