DEFINITION
We speak about minerals in the diet to the inorganic chemical components (calcium, I shoe, iodize, etc...) that are necessary for the maintenance of the textiles in his structure and function. 4 constitute approximately ó a 5 % of the entire weight of the human body.
WHICH ARE
Between the minerals we can do the first classification between the essential ones that are approximately 26 chemical elements, part like macro elements, 11, and part like micro elements ó microelements, approximately 15.
FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATION
Another type of classification is the one that defines his functional activity in the human body:
- The already defined ones with a concrete activity and his necessary levels are had calculated in the circulation or textiles, his needs for consumption, etc... Between these there are the iron, the calcium, the phosphorus, the iodine, the magnesium and the zinc.
- Others in which a few concrete needs have been established in the feeding, as there are the sodium, the potassium, the chlorine, the fluorine, the copper, the manganese, the chromium, the selenium, and the molybdenum.
- New microelements that seem to have some not so definite function in the human body, between them are the silicon, the nickel, the tin, the cadmium and the vanadium.
