 DESCRIPTION
There are electrical devices that make the heart beat by means of unloading electrical impulses, which they replace to the proper system of control of the heart and guarantee an in sync and sufficient latidoo. They can be transitory or definitive. Anyway, when the heart of one beats normally, they remain automatically in rest.
In general, they consist of a box of little weight (half a kilo) that is implanted under the skin, and of which one or two go out cablecillos electric cords that make go over up to the right auricle to a big vein under the skin. The box takes a battery of lithium that lasts more than 10 years. There is pacemaker of many types, including very specializing some to treat specific types of arrhythmias resistant to medication. |

To live with a pacemaker presents small problems for external electrical interferences. The people with pacemaker must avoid powerful electromagnetic fields as that they are in the magnetic nuclear resonance, or in the lines of transmission of high voltage, or in arch welders; also they must avoid, obviously, the external blows on the pacemaker. The modern pacemaker does not turn out to be affected by the microwave ovens, although one could still see the notices in the snack bars.
