TRAUMATIC DISFONÍAS

DEFINITION: Disfonía provoked by an external traumatism (traffic accident, aggression with shooting object, penetrating wounds in the larynx...) or I intern (intubación intracraneal, pipes nasogástricos permanent).

Inside them also we can include the produced ones by burns.

TREATMENT: The intervention logopédica in these cases is subordinated to the treatment médicoquirúrgico and in any cases it is not necessary or it is contra-indicated.

PROGNOSIS: It is according to the grade of affectation and recovery of the affected area and of the success or defeat in treatment médicoquirúrgico.

DISFONÍAS AUDIÓGENAS

DEFINITION: Alteration of the voice as a result of an auditory deficit.

TREATMENT: The treatment of this disfonía is inside the therapy logopédica global that this type of patients needs and whose principal target is not the treatment of the disfonía in itself but of the emission of intelligible sounds of the speech.

PROGNOSIS: It depends in an important way of the auditory capacity of the patient and the used earphones.
