GENERAL INFORMATION
In the artificial lactation, the first capture offered to the nursing one must consist of a normal formula for nursing, according to the instructions of the pediatrician. The feeding-bottle "of test" (with water or whey glucosado) it to 5 % is not usually necessary.
The children who receive artificial lactation feed to demand and tend to wake up to eat every 3 ó 4 hours. The volume consumed with the first capture comes to 15 ml and the offered one in the following captures must increase gradually up to 60-90 ml for capture.
The feeding must initiate little by little throughout the first week of life, starting in approximately 30 ml and up to 60 ml approximately 6 times to d Ì to, that give approximately 120 kcal/kg at the end of this first week.
It is necessary to offer water to the newborn baby between the captures, especially in heat epochs or when the ambience is dry and warm. If the child asks for quantities of milk superior to the studied ingestion, water will be offered him also, to avoid the sobrealimentación.
The child must be supported semierecto during all the captures, looking at his mother or father, and the feeding-bottle must never be supported. This feeding skill protects the ears of the nursing one, favors the ocular contact and allows the social relation during the captures.
ADAPTED MILK
There exist artificial milk that can be in the shape of dust, l Ì quidos predissolved concentrates and liquids. The preparation of a normal feeding-bottle needs a level dust measurement in 30 ml of water; the prediluted formulations do not need preparation.
There exist also special artificial milk, which must only be used by medical prescription:
- Hipoalergénicas
- Without carbohydrates (lactose)
- Predigested formulations, with components separately of fats, sugar and proteins.
There are in every country many classes and marks different from special milk. Like example, in the intolerance to the lactose 2 types of special milk are used: the "proteinatos" (or "caseinatos") and the soya formulae.
1. - Caseinatos / Proteinatos. Special formulae exempt from lactose, in which the protein contribution is 60 % of whey desmineralizado and 40 % of calcic caseinato. As sugar, instead of lactose, contains dextrinomaltosa, polymers of glucose and/or saccharose. They contain also proteins of milk of cow like alpha - lactoalbúmina and beta - lactoglobulina.

2. - Soya. There are special milk formulae exempt from lactose prepared by means of proteins of soya. They are used for the treatment of the intolerance to the lactose and in some occasion also for the treatment of the allergy to proteins of milk of cow (Although the soya also is alergénica)

All the available milk contain the recommended minimal contributions of vitamins and a dose of iron of 10-12 mg/750-1000 ml. And as for the content in fluorine, it is convenient to remember that to prepare the feeding-bottle it is preferable to use water fluorada current, properly boiled, that any mineral water without fluorine.
