DESCRIPTION
It is used when a person presents a sudden drowning for a choking. It can stem from a meal, or body surprised that he remains clogged between the fork of esophagus and trachea pressing the epíglotis and preventing the respiration.
METHOD
We have two persons one the victim (with the problem) and other one the assistant (the one that executes the Heimlich maneuver). The victim can be of feet or sitting, the assistant will put himself of feet and behind, embracing the victim at level of the waist.
The assistant places a hand folded like a handle to level of the abdomen of the victim, and with another hand there fights the doll of the previous hand. In this position it is easy that, on having realized intense pressures in the shape of hug, the victim is raised in the maneuver, but it is even advisable.
Intense pressures must recur until the causative object of the problem is expelled by the mouth.
