DEFINITION
The Eritrasma is a chronic bacterial infection produced by the corynebacterium minitissimum, which affects it the areas intertriginosas (humid) of English armpits or fingers, and it looks alike to the badges produced by infections of fungi. It happens in adult males principally, and lasts years.
SYMPTOMS
It appears in the shape of badges in English, armpits and sometimes between the fingers, of red color to red very intensely or parduzco. Injuries can appear erosivas with scales and other forms like leather patches, sometimes it produces something of itch.
DIAGNOSIS
It is diagnosed when the injuries are clinically similar to a fungi infection but it does not yield to the enclosed treatment can deteriorate, also the cultivation for fungi is negative.
This way the diagnosis is injuries similar to the produced ones by fungi, which they do not improve with antifungoid and cultivation of positive fungi does not appear.
TREATMENT
It usually use a rule with Eritromicina for 14 days, oral route and then the local application of a Gel of peroxide of benzoilo and/or a solution of local eritromicina.
It is necessary to support with the solution of peroxide of benzoilo in occasional rules of 1-2 weeks so that not recidive.
