DEFINITION

The Peyronie illness is an abnormal curvature in the penis that, especially, appears during the erection.

CAUSES

There is an abnormal formation of fibrous textile in one of the parts of the penis, which leaves without elasticity one of the parts and in the erection the penis bows. It can to appear between 40 and 55 years and with a frequency of 4 for thousand inhabitants.

SYMPTOMS

In the normal exploration of the penis fibrous formations can be appreciated partly of the penis, and with the penis in erection the diagnosis is at sight.

TREATMENT

They have been proved by major or minor success:

• Corticosteroides injections inside the fibrous band of textile.
• Radiotherapy.
• Litotricia for shock waves.
• Verapamilo (medicine used to treat the arterial hypertension).
• Vitamin And.
• Surgery as a last resort.
