DEFINITION

The ocular pain or of eyes, if it is for a traumatism, it can appear like an intense inconvenience with a pulsatile sensation and urente, pulsatile, painful and that it can affect to one or two eyes and the peripheral area of the same one. Other times it can give a sensation of having a strange body or fine sands inside the eyelid and hurts on having blinked.

The same is not the ocular weariness for having been hours reading or with the computer or another occupation of long use of the sight.

CAUSES

The ocular pain can appear by very different causes, but if he accompanies himself of loss of the vision it is necessary to consider like a medical urgency.

The most frequent causes can be:

Infectious conjunctivitis Migraine type migraine Sinusitis Complications for the use of contact lenses Burn for external agents Ocular surgery Stye Viral infections (Flu, etc... it collaborates to photophobia or inconveniences with the light) Glaucoma, in this case it collaborates to loss of vision Detachment of retina, in this case it collaborates to loss of vision In the latter cases as we have already said that one is necessary an urgent treatment. The others will have to be studied and put the treatment depending on the cause.
