 DESCRIPTION
The losses of conscience or syncopes are a symptom, and not an illness. When one feels sick without going so far as to lose heart, the doctors speak about pre-syncope. In any case, syncope or presyncope, it happens that the brain is not receiving enough oxygen to work well.
CAUSES
The syncope is generally proved of a bad functioning of the cardiovascular system or of the nervous system.
There are many cardiac problems that can produce syncopes. The most important are the arrhythmias, especially the blockades and the serious tachycardia, or too rapid rhythms, which do that the heart does not have time to fill completely in every beat and that it could not provide therefore sufficient blood to the brain. A problem of functioning in the valve that exists to the exit of the most important artery of the organism (estenosis aortic) can compromise the blood arrival to all the organs and be a cause of syncope.
The vegetative nervous system (or autonomous) controls the pumping of the heart and the pressure in the arteries. When it stops working correctly for infinity of different reasons syncopes can happen. This includes to the syncope glass - vagal, with much the most frequent loss of conscience in the young, people and who consists of a sickness or preceded faint of cold sudoración, morning sickness or blurry vision, who happens generally for a psychological stimulus, and who recovers without aftermath in a few seconds.
There are certain medicines ú (antifngicoantiulcerosos, ú antihistamines, etc...) that can lengthen the cardiac repolarization, for it in persons with (sports) slow cardiac rhythms must avoid during the achievement of the exercise.
In any case, if one has suffered one or more syncopes, it is necessary to consult the doctor, who will decide if it has one that to be valued, or not, by a cardiologist, a neurologist or another type of specialist.
