DEFINITION

The colecistitis is the inflammation of the biliary vesicle that causes intense abdominal pain.

CAUSES

The most common and frequent cause of the colecistitis is the presence of calculations or stones in the biliary vesicle. Also it is possible to have to to an excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages or to tumors of the biliary routes.

The stone presence or calculations in the biliary vesicle can do that there closes the conduit of exit of the bile of the vesicle towards the digestive tract, this one remains inflated by the bile excess and for it it remains exposed to infections or even to his perforation.

SYMPTOMS

The colecistitis usually gives an acute and intense pain in the right top part or center of the abdomen.
This pain can study of diverse forms:

• It usually deteriorates after eating greasy food

In the colecistitis other symptoms appear as they are:

• Excess of abdominal gases
• Fever can appear
• Gastric acidity
• Morning sickness and vomiting
• Yellowish coloration of the skin and of the eyes (jaundice)

DIAGNOSIS

Once described the symptoms in the exploration of the abdomen there will appear an area very sensitive inclusive to the tact in the right top area of the abdomen.

• Amilasa and lipasa
• Finished Hematimetría

In some cases there will be necessary an oral Colecistografía and a Gammagrafía of the biliary vesicle with contrast.

TREATMENT

The immediate treatment is the administration of wheys endovenosos with an antibiotic of wide bogey.

According to the evolution even an urgent intervention of the vesicle can appear to extirpate it or to defer this surgery act.

Also they usually administer analgesics for the pain, and a diet low in fat.
