Technical surgical periodontal for the treatment of the periodontales-bony defects in which a membrane is used to obtain bony regeneration. It is named by quadrant because it usually do a hemiarcada in every meeting.
SYMPTOMS
The principal motives for which it usually indicates this skill are to increase the bony textile - peridontal approaching what would be a normal periodonto.
SKILL
The suitable position of the patient and of the professional, the use of a correct skill and a few measurements of asepsis are essential norms for the success of the surgery. A previous history and exploration, as well as the achievement of a radiology they are also essential.
The skill must be realized of a ruled form adapting the membrane to the defect that it wants to regenerate. Sometimes different materials are placed under the membrane, autólogos or not, to obtain a better result. If the membrane is not reabsorvible the second surgery is realized to eliminate the membrane once the regeneration has been obtained. At present membranes are used reabsorvibles of different materials.
COMPLICATIONS
The complications are not frequent and they split in immediate and mediate (secondary or late). The immediate complications can be: tears, hemorrhages, exhibition of the membrane; injuries of nearby nerves; submucous emphysema, etc. The mediate complications: infectious, hemorrhagic (of local or general cause); personal details (bacteriemas, septicemias, etc). The results of this skill are very variable since they depend on multiple factors.
