It is the examination realized by means of a device endoscópico that interferes inside the knee articulation, being able to realize interventions of menisci, sinews, and of the sinovia (covering of the joint).

The knee artroscopia, by means of instruments endoscópicos, is one of the most frequent orthopedic procedures nowadays. The patient is submitted to general anesthesia or, sometimes he is sedated and anesthetizes by means of regional anesthesia or spinal anesthesia.

Then several small perforations are realized in the knee joint.

This procedure is realized in ambulatory diet, the patient being discharged in the same day, without needing night hospitalization.
