DEFINITION
The alveoplastia is the skill by which a dental alveolus is refilled, after the extraction of the tooth, with hidroxiapatita.
SYMPTOMS
The target of this skill is to avoid the bony loss after the extraction of a tooth.
SKILL
The surgical procedure must be realized of a way ruled after a precise indication based in a case history and a physical and radiological exploration adapted. The hidroxiapatita can place herself by means of syringes, with which it is injected into the alveolus, realizing the later suture. Also there can be used joined to other materials heterólogos (collagen) or the proper bone of the patient.
COMPLICATIONS
Them possible complications are:
- haematomas,
- edemas,
- neuralgias,
- hemorrhages,
- infections,
- formation of cicatriciales textiles or mucous tears,
- relapse for bony resorption or of the material aloplástico.
