DEFINITION
The adenoids are a follicles accumulation linfoides (ganglions) that are in the top part of the pharynx, to the fund of the nostril. When this accumulation is very big it can go so far as to stop up the air step from the nostril up to the larynx, by what there is realized an oral respiration (for the mouth) as mechanism of compensation. When this happens there can be complications, like earache, infections of repetition of the respiratory top tract, bronchitis, night noisy respiration (snorings), etc... In these cases the adenoids operation is indicated. The adenoids normally shrink in the adolescence and the adenoidectomía is needed rarely in adults.
The adenoids work like part of the immune system of the body, leaking the gérmenes that try to invade the body, and help to develop antibodies against the gérmenes. This happens principally during the first years of life, becoming less important when they pass the years. But according to different studies, to the children to whom the tonsils or adenoids are extracted they do not suffer losses in his resistance, because other lymphatic textiles of the organism fulfill the function of the extirpated ones.
When to suspect that his son can suffer this problem?
When he observes that he suffers the following symptoms:

DESCRIPTION

INDICATIONS
